• 100 Milk: It Does A Body Good

Use your milker again and again inside any building, restoring your Energy as necessary with Medicines or food until you reach Level 1 with the Milker, then use it 99 more times in quick succession in order to be able to obtain 99 bottles of milk each time you milk your cow. Not only will this increase your income enormously, but shipping the milk will rescue a number of Sprites!
In both later U.S. versions of the game as well as the U.K. version, the Ranch Bonus has been removed. Moreover, the level of both milker and clippers will increase very slowly. You no longer can go from Level 1 - Level 100 in 99 uses.
One should pass their milk through the cheese maker to greatly increase their gold. By having 4 cows, and getting 100 milk from each one per day, and converting all that milk to cheese, you will amass over 100,000 gold per day!

• 1st Hot Springs

If you are dating Flora and you have seen her black and purple heart events get ready for the blue one. On her blue event both you and her will find a hot spring and she will have Gotz make you one from it out of the earth.

• Animal Tips

Do the following each day to ensure the health of your animals. Keep in mind that dogs and cats are always healthy and don't need any of the attention listed below.
Chicken - Pet, feed, and hold them
Cow - Pet, talk, brush, milk, and feed them
Duck - Pet, feed, and hold them
Horse - Pet, talk, brush, and feed them
Sheep - Pet, talk, brush, sheer, and feed them

• Battle mini-game

If you inspect your dog's house at 4:44 a.m., the Witch Princess will appear and teleport you to the mine site. A battle mini-game adjacent to some of the girls you can marry will begin. Win the mini-game and the Witch Princess will give you a diploma and the title of 'Battle Master'.

• Behind the waterfall there is a cave

After you got to the 255th floor of the middle class mines and got the sword of legend from the princess, you can go to the cave behind the waterfall. To do this you have to the sword equip, and then go to either rock by the waterfall and examine it by pressing A. After the little cut scene is over and the has rock have been destroyed, you can enter the cave. In the cave you will find a 12x9 field and like all in door areas, the time will have stopped.

• Bonus characters

Have the Game Boy Advance game Harvest Moon: Friends Of Mineral Town or Harvest Moon: More Friends Of Mineral Town in the cartridge slot for characters from the corresponding game to appear in Harvest Moon DS.

• Brush Bonus

Have the rucksack open on the bottom screen. Not only have the brush and glove equipped, but the slot in your rucksack immediately next to the equipped tool space should be either the milker or the shears. When you have a sheep ready to be shorn or a cow ready to be milked, wash with the brush and touch glove BEFORE milking or shearing, and before petting.
Now wash your animal. When done, use your STYLUS to hit the BACK key. With your stylus, quickly move the milker or shears to the equipped spot. 7 out of 10 times I have done this, there is now either wool or milk in my hands, and then I have still been allowed to shear my sheep or milk my cow and get double product from the animal for that day.

• Changing weather

To change the next day's weather, reload the previous day and go to bed. This works best if you save before you go to bed and check the weather the first thing in the morning so you do not loose any work. It may also require a few attempts. You can also avoid a collapsing building or animal death by doing this.

• Cheap items to sell and unlock Harvest Sprites

This trick requires some patience and a good amount of money. Having the Miracle Gloves also is recommended. Call up either of the livestock farms and buy as much fodder/feed as you can afford, usually in amounts of 99 each. Sell all of them, which is easy with the Miracle Gloves equipped. The Sprites require the following numbers to be unlocked. Note: All the sprites unlocked are part of the harvest team.

• Clear All Monsters On Mine Floor

This is a simple way to clear ALL monsters that are on the floor you are currently on. You merely need to save your game once inside the floor you wish cleared, then proceed to shut your DS off. Turn it back on and load your save game, and voila! All of the monsters on that floor have been defeated and you can continue to mine without any pests. Of course on the next floor you proceed to there will be another new set of monsters, but you may repeat the process if you want.
When you first reach any floor of the Mine, if you did not go too far (in falling), save your game immediately. Defeat all the Dark Creatures and save again. Now, smash all rocks and uncover all squares with your hoe to find special items, but DO NOT SAVE.
When you find any special item, reload your game without saving and go directly to the location of the special item and collect it. Now save your game. Do this again and again until all special items on the floor are found.
WARNING: Always save your game on any floor of the mine before you move at all, as you may fall through a hole in the floor and go too far. Do not walk in the mine if your energy level is at zero. If you fall through a hole, you will pass out as soon as you reach the next floor. It's another reason to save your game immediately.

• Diamonds

Once you have opened up the second mine, spend some time in it to mine as many diamonds or pink diamonds as possible. Instead of selling them, give them to the girl of your choice. Almost every eligible girl loves receiving diamonds, which gives two thirds more affection points than just flowers or other basic gifts.

• Easy money

Once you get the Legendary Sword from the bottom of the second mine and unlock the Super Field behind the waterfall, go there in the Fall and plant Yams. Because the Waterfall Field speeds up growth by one day and the Yams regrow every two days, there will be a new harvest every day after the initial harvest.
If you are lucky enough to get the Miracle Gloves from the Harvest Sprite casino, have them equipped when you are going through the mines. Whenever you excavate anything you do not need, such as rubble, toss it immediately so that it is shipped. This is a good method to save the Harvest Sprites unlocked by number of items shipped.

• Eligible girls

The girls that you can marry are: Harvest Goddess, Mermaid, Princess, Aafi, Arisa, Erisu, Furen, Kaarii, Marivia, Muu, Nasuka, Reona, and Serena.

• Fast Mining

When mining for Cursed Tools or Accessories, control your fall. Uncover the hole, then save. Reload if you fall too far or not far enough. Remember that you can lose 100 Stamina if you fall 100 floors.
When you reach a Floor with Cursed Tool or Accessory, save immediately then find the location of the item and reload. Go to the spot and save before uncovering. Each time you reload, you will get a different item. Choose the one you want before saving the game!

• Field upgrades

The different items that you can use to upgrade your field houses will rot away after different periods of time. The following materials can be used to upgrade:

Once you gain access to the basement, Leia will introduce herself. She explains that before she was in this big bathtub in the basement, she had been washed up injured on the beach. Daryll has been taking care of her ever since. If you ask if he is a gentle person (and not if she's a science experiment), Leia tells you he is and she's staying there to repay his
kindness by cooking for him. If you're a friend of Daryll then you are also her friend.

Walk into Daryll's laboratory and you won't find the scientist around anywhere. You can then hear him shouting from the basement about finding the secrets to the mysteries of nature! What is he doing to the mermaid?! Charge into the basement to see what the crazy guy is up to.
Downstairs you'll startle Daryll, and he yells at you for thinking that he's using her as a science experiment. He tells Leia that he must immediately get back to his research and he leave the two of you alone. Once he's left, Leia laughs at your presumptions. She had been telling Daryll about her home town. She does thank you for worrying about her.
Blue Heart

Visit Leia in the basement. She wants to repay Daryll's kindness by doing some housework, so she wants to try and cook meals. Leia doesn't know very many recipes, but her recipe for Grilled Fish is excellent! Leia wants to try a piece of her new menu at this moment, and asks if you would taste test it for her.
Tell her it would be your pleasure (option #2), Leia will tell you to wait a moment while she hurries to make the dish. She returns with Boiled Fish made with Wine and gives it to you to try out. You tell her it is delicious and she is glad that she was able to cook something so tasty.
Yellow Heart Event

» Have a Bottled Message in your hands
Walk into the laboratory while holding the bottle. Daryll notices that they can't open the bottle to retrieve it's content, and the seal on the bottle broke his 'Super Ultra Great Delicious Wonderful Corkscrew', his 'Hyper Miracle Sweet Gorgeous Beautiful Corkscrew', and his 'Angel Eternal Pure Fresh Elegant Corkscrew'. The normal, ordinary corkscrew that he had bought from Van was the only one that worked! Daryll read the message and realized it is for Leia.
Daryll takes the note to Leia. She explains it is from her mother. Mom is worried about her living in a bathtub and wants her to come home. Daryll tells her she is all better anyway so she should go back.
At the Beach Leia asks if it would be all right for her to return. Tell her it's always good to come back and she'll smile before she swims away.
You can catch a Bottled Message in the Ocean during the Spring season if you use a Mystrile or higher level Fishing Pole. The message will only appear after Leia's heart color turns Yellow (40,000 LP or higher).
And also you need to build a duck pond before you marry her! If you are married to her, she won't sleep with you. this is really important : if you marry her and there's a storm, she might get blown away so think twice before marrying her! | Submitted by Fran

• Hidden Battle mode

If you inspect your dog's house at 4:44 in the morning (you pretty much have to wait until 4:40 and keep inspecting until it happens), the Witch Princess will show up, teleport you to the mine site, and set you up to challenge some of the girls you can marry. The battle is played out like old school video games, where you are gives a list of options to battle (attack, defend, dodge, charge, special, escape). If you happen to win all of the rounds, the Witch Princess will congradulate you and give you a diploma and a new title of 'Battle Master'(not sure where the title appears, if any)

• How to grow mushrooms

First, build a mushroom shed by phoneing the woodcutter then build it close to the water hole(optional) so you don't have to walk far then, WHEN IT IS FINISHED go to vestas farm
Before sowing your seeds in the mushroom shed you need to put a log on the table, water it and sow the seeds standing in front of the log (the wood that is!). it takes time but it works. | Submitted by SmartdanT

• Leave the screen

Get on your horse and go to a place where there are two walls on each side near the transition area (for example, the entrance to the beach). Get as close as you can to the edge of the screen without going to the next area. Have your horse touch and face the right wall. Get off the horse. You will be off the screen but still able to move left and right. To exit, just move back towards your horse and you will instantly move to the area you were near.

• Littering

The only place where you can litter is on your field. Anywhere else will cause people to begin disliking you.

When in the mines, save the game and turn off the system.When you turn it back on and reload, all the monsters will be gone! {Please note that unlike the JP version there won't be any invisible monsters.}

• Make Mine Monsters Missing!

On any level in the mines, save your game and turn off the DS, then restart it and load your data. You will load onto the floor you saved on, but all monsters will be GONE. Please note, if you progress any further in the mine, all new monsters will sometimes be INVISIBLE, but are still there (the mines reset after you leave, so it isn't permanent). This is really useful when getting to deep floors and being able to get tons of items hassle free.

• Marry the mysterious princess Keira

This mysterious princess lives at the 255th floor of the 3rd Mine. You will need to unlock the earlier mines before you can even talk to her. She will quietly sleep in her bed and await the gifts you can give her. Next to her bed is a sign that will give you special instructions during her Heart Events. | Submitted by Purple_Starra

• Marrying Leia

The first step in marrying Leia is to befriend Daryl. An easy way to do this is to go to Daryl's lab (located near the beach) with your dog, and keep trying to give him your dog. Every time you do this his friendship goes up by 1. Keep doing this until his friendship reaches 101. Select the basement door and you will unlock Leia and her Grey Heart event. Leia loves Sashimi and Large Fish, which gives you 800 affection. She favors other fish (they earn 300 affection). She also really likes jewelry (giving her 500 affection). In order to do Leia's Yellow Heart event you must fish out a bottle in the ocean at spring. Part of her Yellow Heart event is her returning to the ocean. This means you will no longer be able to see her in Daryl's lab. Instead, you can find her along the sea shore at midnight on Wednesdays. In order to marry Leia you must have the double bed, have found 60 Harvest Sprites, and bought back the Harvest Goddess. You also need a pond for Leia to stay in.

• Memory Game

Early in the morning at 6 AM when you first wake up, step outside the house and immediately come back in. Inspect your clock to see if it says '6:01.' If it does, inspect the set of records on the shelf to begin a very challenging memory game! Beware, as you must have a sharp mind if you wish to beat it without cheating!

• Money Making Scheme For Upstarts

Early on, you can use a really 'quick' way of making money that does not take much energy or in-game time (although it may take quite a bit of real time). Just enter the Excavation Site and before you do anything further, save your game inside.
Proceed to dig for jewelry but do not save your game again. Instead, simply note the map cells where you found the jewelry by digging up the whole place. Go reload your last save and go directly to the spots where you found the jewelry pieces before and dig only those squares. Save your new found riches, and reset the Excavation Site by exitting and re-entering the map.
You can loop the exploit -- the interred jewelry will randomized upon entry to the Excavation Site (note leaving a mine and then going back won't do; you need to exit completely to the 'outside'). You can repeat this as long as you want (or as long as your dude's energy holds out). While not helpful when other avenues of revenue are available, you will find this quite helpful early on in starting up your place.

By giving Muffy some wine everyday, you can increase her love for your character.

• Nami's Love

To make Nami's love for your character increase, you can give her your Dog Ball everyday when you wake up. The next day, the mayor comes to you and says you’ve lost the ball and he’s there to give you back the ball. Do this over and over to increase her love!

• Pets

To get as high a friendship as you want with anyone in town, repeatedly try to give them your pet. If you have the Love Bangle equipped (not necessary for the effect), you will see that every time you talk to a person with a pet in your arms their friendship score will increase one point. If you do this inside and have a lot of patience, you can get someone to as high a score as desired within one day. This method is also useful for unlocking the Channel 7 Harvest Sprite, who will appear the day after you earn at least 100 friendship points with someone. If you do not have the Love Bangle equipped, then just show your pet to someone 100 times.

• Ranching Bonus

Equip your Brush in your tool slot and equip the Touch Glove, and place your milker or shears in the slot next to the tool slot in your Rucksack. Make certain that your Rucksack is displayed on the screen before you begin to wash your Animal and save your game before you begin.
Wash your animal using the stylus. When you see the Level Up 'bubble', hit the back button and quickly switch to the milker or shears. A Level 8 product or higher will fall out of the milker or clippers into your hands. A Level 8 product or higher will fall out of the milker or clippers into your hands. You then can proceed to milk your cow or shear your sheep as if nothing had occurred to obtain the product you usually obtain. It is only BEFORE you actually use the milker or clippers that you will obtain the upgraded bonus product. As you progress, the Level of product that you obtain in this fashion will increase.
If you are not quick enough, you will not obtain the bonus product. If you saved your game before y [16:47] Castleenchanted: you began to wash the animal, you will be able to reload and try again. You can do this every day with each of your animals including your cows, sheep and your horse.
The product you receive does NOT depend on the animal but on the implement. In other words, if you have the brush equipped and then switch to the clippers, you will receive an upgraded form of wool even if the animal is a cow or your horse. Remember that this is a BONUS product. You still will be able to shear your sheep once each week in the normal fashion and milk each cow daily!
Since wool is more valuable than milk, you may wish to use the clippers in every case. If you obtain a Level 9 small wool from every animal, it will be worth 900G. Turn that into yarn, worth 2700G. Ship that through the Cannery for 4000G. Remember that you can obtain this bonus wool from every animal, cows and horse included and that you still can milk your cows as usual afterwards.
Extra tip: If you level up your milker inside any building to level 1, then use it 100 more times to level it up to the maximum Level 100, you will obtain 100 small milk EACH time you milk a cow. If you switch the Brush with the Milker using the Ranching Bonus trick, you will obtain 100 upgraded milks from every animal you have!
If you would rather obtain wool, switch the Brush with the Clippers. Van pays a hefty price for any upgraded yarn or you can ship any of the above through the Cannery for 150% profit.
You can use the Bonus Ranching Trick to obtain infinite quantities of milk from one animal in a single day. If you equip the Brush and place the Milker in the slot next to the brush then equip the TouchGlove in your Accessory Slot, as soon as you activate the Brush (by standing in front of the animal and pressing A), press the 'Back' option.
Do not begin to wash the animal. You can do this again and again to obtain product each time. The only reason milk is superior to wool is because, if you have raised the level of your Milker to 99, you can obtain 99 or 100 bottles of milk each time you perform the trick.
Note that your energy will be depleted quickly, so make certain that you restore it if you intend to use the trick again and again on a single animal in one day. Though this means, you will be able to ship enormous quantities of milk even if you own only a single cow. (Remember only that you actually will need to wash the cow after exploiting this bonus if you wish to obtain any affection points for the animal).

• Rucksack

Instead of putting everything in different squares, put them together. For example, if you need two of the yellow flowers put one in one square and the other in the same square. It should now read '2'.

• Save Your Game!

Because of the numerous variables in the game that are randomly decided (such as weather, crop success, mining, et cetera), it's a good idea to save your game each and every time your character goes to bed. That way, if you wake up in the morning and something is happening that you don't like (or something happens that you don't like throughout the course of the day), you can simply reset your DS and restart the game, hoping for better results. You can repeat this as often as you want.

• Saving time

While in a building, equip a tool from your rucksack. Then, access your map via the touchscreen. For example, if you have your watering can while using the map, touch one of your crops with the stylus to water that specific crop. This is a great way to take care of crops, gathering building materials, etc. while not wasting any game time.

• Shopping Network

Unlock the Shopping Network by ordering items for 10 days from Karen's Supermarket. Doing this will rescue the Sprite who controls the Channel.

• Special children

If you marry either the Harvest Goddess, Harvest Witch, Princess, or Furen, you may get a special child. This is a child that wears different clothes and looks differently instead of the child you will get by getting married to any other girl.

• The Harvest Witch

Her birthday is on Winter 29. She lives in the small hut near the mansion. She likes Red Grass and Poisonous Mushrooms, and loves Rainbow Curry.

• TV Shopping channel

Buy items from Karen at the Supermarket for ten days in a row to unlock Channel 2, the TV Shopping Network.

• Unlimited Milk

To get unlimited Milk, try the following. First, equip the Touch Gloves and find your animal (cow, sheep, horse, whatever). Start brushing your animal, and allow the touch sequence to begin. Before the countdown gets down to begin, press any button to exit the sequence. Afterwards, you’ll want to quickly equip your Milker item with the touch screen (don’t cycle through your items to find it otherwise, or this won’t work). If you do this, your character will end up with Milk. This glitch can be repeated over and over again to get as much Milk as you want.

• Unlock Casino

To unlock the CTo unlock the Casino you must rescue the following sprites:
Roller - On 8 Spring, walk towards Vesta's farm, crossing the bridge who runs the Medal Exchange.
And any one of the following:
Press A in front of the well next to the Blue Bar for Hops who runs the Poker Table.
Press A in front of the stove to the left of the Inner Inn for Tep, who runs the Blackjack Table.
Press A in front of the fountain in Romana's Courtyard for Jum, who runs the Memory Game Table.
If you find all three, you can play all three games, but finding just one of the games will open the casino.

• Watering can

To increase the rate at which your watering can powers-up, repeatedly fill it up at any water source, such as the pond or your farm. Once you have filled it up a desired amount of times, use it once and your experience for it will increase significantly. Even when it is near Mystrile level, each time you fill it will count as one value better then the three to four uses per value it took before. This is easiest if you have a basement, because you can use the watering hole in it to avoid passing time during the day.

• Weather Control

You can cheat the weather in this game in the same way as you do in FoMT/MFoMT. Simply save your game before you go to bed. When you awaken in the morning, watch the Weather Channel immediately.
If a hurricane or snowstorm is predicted for the next day, reload without saving. It is useful always to save your game before you go to bed at night. Although most Events will occur on sunny days, there are a few that actually require rain. You can control the weather here as in other Harvest Moon games by reloading until you obtain the result you desire.

• Win Lumina's Heart

Easily the best way to win Lumina's heart is to give her diamonds. If you're mining from levels 90 through 99, you'll find a diamond in almost every rock you mine. Give her one a day to increase her affection. (Additionally, diamonds are worth quite a bit of money if you want to sell them for gold).

• Witch Princess 3-Bear Game

If you buy a TV from Van and interact (press A) with it at 0:00am (midnight), you will play a memory game involving 3 bears that hold colored sparkles and choosing the bear with the correct color. If you beat this 5 times, you will gain 100 LP with the WP.
